The summer showed its best side last weekend at the olympic base of the modern radio fighters in bonn, where the masters held their international german championships. For the outdoor disciplines of swimming, riding and running, the conditions were ideal. Only the fencing and pushing took place in the hall.
Peter engerisser, who competes for the kronach swimming club, was also there. As in previous years, he made it to the podium again this time. In a field of participants that was particularly strong this year not only in terms of performance level but also in terms of the number of participating nations, engerisser secured the bronze medal in the international rankings with 5087 points, behind mykola kulyk from the ukraine (5338) and the hungarian attila csikos (5261). "I don’t have enough training at the moment to be able to play at the top of the league, commented the reigning team world champion his placement. "But as long as I can keep up with the international top, I am satisfied. Maybe i can improve my form a bit before the european championships in budapest in september", however, he showed his fighting spirit.
As the best german competitor, engerisser also won the national classification in the age group 30 to 59 and thus the title of german champion for the third time after 2010 and 2011.
